Colourful costumes, lively movements, expressive gestures and rhythmic footwork lead you to the wonderful land of India.  Dances of India is for all ages and boasts of an array of vibrant dances by Shakti & The VasantaMala Indian Dance Troupe from Japan.

The show is a delight for all the family.  45 minutes of fast and furious fun.  
Vibrant colours, seductive movements and expression in the Hindi Love Songs transport you to India where the tradition and history and the joy of life is interwoven in the magnificant tradition and magical moments.

The VasantaMala Indian Dance Institute was founded by VasantaMala, Shakti's mother, who was the first Japanese woman to introduce Indian Dance in Japan.  The institute was founded in 1968 in Kyoto.
Shakti started dancing with her mother since the age of 3 and she continutes her training and now has built a branch in Tokyo.
