November-December 2011

  Dear Friends:

It is almost the end of the year. What a wonderful year it has been. Today is Jorg's birthday and we are celebrating it right at home. My wonderful man is now 62.

Stonehenge SJ (Shakti / Jorg) is absolutely stunning. It is the perfect home for us. Set in the Adelaide Hills and just out of Gumeracha (a tiny town) and located at the end of a no-thru hilly dirt road, it is a heritage listed property, 14.5 hectars of native Australian bushland. And inside is our house which we call Stonehenge SJ because of the rammed earth walls which does make it look like a stonehenge.

We have over 2 dozen kangaroos on our land. And they come quite close to the house and seem to be unafraid. The other day we looked outside the window and saw a koala walk by and climb a tree close by the pool and observe us. We have a resident hare who recently had a baby. Now we see the tiny baby hare hopping around too. We have scorpions, snakes, and an unlimited number of all kinds of insects. And we have so many variety of birds that sing to us all day.

One blue breasted bird, we call Azur, comes every morning and picks off the insects from our window. He is our window cleaner. We have a spider called Dreamweaver. He weaves his web at our shower everyday. By the end of the day, the web is torn apart due to wind but he weaves it again everynight.
This is paradise. You can get so much inspiration and ideas and energy. Nature is beautiful. Wild untamed nature is beautiful. And I can feel just as wild and untamed.
It is about 1 hour to Adelaide but the drive through Gorge Road is beautiful The drive itself is full of curves. I have to get used to it. You get dizzy after awhile
We are still in the final stages of setting it up. Solar panels need to be connected and my kitchen needs to be completed. Then all is done and ready for Vasanta, Venon and my dancers to come for the Adelaide Fringe. I have my special studio where workshops or a weekend retreat can be held. If it is hot enough, a swim in the waterhole will be wonderful. The muddy talc will make your skin smooth. It is a natural spa.

And the latest one to join our family is Gingerbread.
The other day Nicola came gently holding a box in her hands and with a big smile on her lovely face. Her gift was
Gingerbread.
Gingerbread sleeps all day peacefully dreaming about the Diamond Sutra (see book in photo).
He is an enlightened one - deep into a meditative state of nirvana.
