September-October Message part 1
Fireworks over the Ara River.
We ran out in the middle of our rehearsal to look at them.
Dear Friends:
My show in Tokyo went very well. The intimate Shakti Studio was a perfect venue for my "Classique Nu". We had wonderful audience too. Tiger was very upset because during the show he was shut in our room upstairs. He just wanted to be part of it. He loves it when we get the black curtains up and immediately hides behind it poking he head or tail out occasionally. But during my show we kept in in our room and we had to deal with a sulking cat when we returned upstairs after all was over.
F1, F2 and Mayura came from Kyoto too. During the day we had rehearsals for Nullarbor Nymph which is a show for the Adelaide Fringe. The show is a new piece created for the theatre in Adelaide. (more about it later)
We braved the cold and had barbecues almost every night. The time passed quickly. I was there 2 weeks but if felt like a couple days. Jorg came for the show since he had to do the projections and lights and is part of the creator of the show. Qantas had engine trouble so he was delayed by 12 hours. There is so much trouble with airplanes these days so it is always wise to leave early and leave plenty of leeway.
But we left Japan for Adelaide with no delays and arrived in Adelaide with no suitcases. They managed to loose it between Sydney and Adelaide. But they delivered it that evening to Gumeracha.
Gumeracha - now that is a whole new story. Will tell you all about it soon.
Fringe deadline is now so I am frantically getting everything sorted out.
And then I will write about our wonderful house which we call
"Stonehenge SJ".
