Empire of the Senses
by Shakti

A moving meditation on ecstasy, embodiment, and transformation.

Art has no boundaries as seen in Shakti’s Empire of the Senses where she becomes one with the shifting poetry of the natural world. Moving within unique time-lapse images taken by Simon Carroll, her body is immersed in vast sequences of billowing clouds, shifting dunes, starry skies, erupting volcanos, and the stillness of the desert.
As light and image pass through her, Shakti dissolves into the landscape—her movement revealing the pulse that connects the human and the elemental. Each gesture becomes a prayer, each breath a bridge between body and cosmos.

Merging dance, projections and sound, Empire of the Senses invites the audience into a world of surrender and awakening—an ode to physical and spiritual ecstasy, and a celebration of the beauty of impermanence. This is a luminous odyssey through movement, image and transcendence.
